Rajasthan flood relief team leaves for Bihar

Kota: A team consisting 50 jawans of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) left for flood-hit Bihar with essential equipments needed for relief operation.


The team, led by company commander Narendra Singh Devada, left for the flood-affected state on Sunday in two trucks and a bus carrying five boats, life saving jackets, diving suits, launcher and other necessary equipments with it, Deputy Commandant of RAC, Harsh Kothari told reporterson Monday.


He said the team would reach Bihar via Gwalior and Etawah.


All the jawans are specialised in disaster management and had helped in the flood relief work in Kavas, Jaisalmer and Barmer last year.
