Update on Jammu & Kashmir
The BJP core committee on Thursday decided to go ahead with a three-day agitation on the Amarnath land transfer issue beginning August 11.
The party has made it clear they would settle for nothing less than re-allotment of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board. On the other hand, PDP and National Conference are still opposing the demands for restoration of land and recall of governor N N Vohra.
Governor N N Vohra had appointed a four-member committee on Wednesday night to hold talks with Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS), spearheading the agitation in Jammu. However, the Samiti had spurned the offer of Governor for direct talks and visit to the alternative camp site.
The situation in Jammu and Srinagar is getting from bad to worse. Kashmiri traders on Wednesday threatened to snap all trade ties with their counterparts in Jammu. The violence is continuing unabated in various parts of Jammu and Srinagar.
On Wednesday, eight out of the ten members of the Amarnath Shrine Board resigned to help in reconstitution of the Board.

Biscuit Meetings
If you thought business meetings are what they are called, business meetings, and nothing but business matter there, think again.
Some top business professionals say the humble biscuit plays an integral role in influencing company directors, entrepreneurs and budget holders at the boardroom meetings.
A research by Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, revealed that the quality and type of biscuits presented in a meeting can make or break a deal.
In what is considered the first ever 'Business Biscuit Study', Holiday Inn surveyed more than 1,000 business professionals across the UK. 58% of those surveyed said that the biscuits served in a meeting can "positively influence a company's first impressions" and a massive 80% said that biscuits improve the quality and outcome of a meeting.
Those in the legal profession are most likely to be influenced by a good quality biscuit (67%), followed by sales, media or marketing professionals (65%). Some 59% of public sector workers agreed that biscuits can have a 'favourable influence' during a meeting.
Overall, nearly half 47% of those quizzed thought that it was very important to serve biscuits during a meeting. Almost two-thirds (64%) confessed that the quality of biscuits offered was a matter of note or discussion. Surprisingly, biscuits were also deemed the second most important aspect of the boardroom. Behind only tables and chairs and had priority over lighting, technology and artwork.

Media Has Low Credibility in India
People in India are more aware of the issues concerning them than the media would like to believe. It has been demonstrated time and again. The recent developments in the Parliament have proved again how irresponsible and partition media India is burdened with.
Living in a cocoon
Most of the persons controlling the media think they are influential. So, they always try to pass judgements and not in formations. The media has again failed badly reporting about how the ruling party ‘managed’ to win confidence of the House. They also did not portrayed the irresponsible behaviour of the Communists. There is a sad history of these red flag holders of acting at the behest of their Chinese bosses.
There have been many other occasions too, to believe that most of the Indian journalists live in cocoon and are colour blind in favour of the so called social issues. The latest developments have only proved it further.
Poor record
A few years ago, a large selling news weekly predicted, in its cover story, a defeat of Narendra Modi in the Assembly elections. Modi had a landslide. Again, an apparent campaign was launched against him, when he faced the Assembly elections the last time. All sorts of abuses and distortions of the facts were hurled upon him. His opponents were given prominence. A protest by a group of as many as ’six’ sadhus were reported as if the whole world had came out.
Of course, a defeat or at best a marginal win was predicted. Modi had a thumping victory again. When the results came to the contrary, the media just changed the subject. None of the predictors or the commentators were ashamed.
Power brokers
In India, unlike in some other developed countries, media was largely controlled by the industrial houses. They sought favours of the power hungry politicians and, thus they used the media for the purpose. During that period, only the power brokers in the garb of ‘intellectuals’, ruled the media. Most of them are still occupying some top positions.
In recent years, however, there have been some major changes. A fresh set of “media only” companies is emerging fast. Unfortunately, they don’t have a fresh pool of qualified journalists with objective views. Talent is still scares in the media. These persons may have many degrees to flash, but journalistically, they are only illiterates.
Most of the media persons in India have traditionally been of a socialistic mindset. They thought the State was the best means for the development of the society and the people. And thus they supported a colossal burden of inefficient public ’servants’ who behave like the ‘bosses’. This bunch of the so called educated journalists are not even qualified to understand the emerging issues relating to people, business or the economy. But they are sitting there to ‘analyse’ them.
Without any perspective
Take the issue of “Chinese Model” of development. The politicians have a lucrative vested interest in it. They are raking in billions of rupees through this. The media, unwittingly or otherwise, has failed see the hidden issues and has supported the model. To most of them, anything Chinese is a good thing.
The basic ground realities being different, India has no reason to go for a Chinese Model. Remember, all the properties in China, land and otherwise, belong to the state. It was snatched from the hapless owners of these properties at the time of the ‘Revolution’. Now these properties are being turned into export zones and industrial parks. Let them do it. The ground situation in India is entirely different.
Rob Tom to ‘enrich’ Harry
In India landed properties are being snatched from the poor people at through away prices to give them to industrial houses in the garb of Chinese Model. Who is so naive to think these transactions are not filling the bulging pockets of the powers that be? The industrial houses are happy too. If they were to buy these properties from the market themselves, they would be paying many times more.
Have not robbers forever been selling looted properties at a discount. So are the politicians. If the industrial houses need land or anything, let them to go to the market. But that will be the ‘American Model’. None has any reason to support it. Nothing will accrue to the politicians nor to the bureaucrats. So why promote such a model?
Farmers be damned
Similarly, whenever the prices of farm products rise, a hulabaluis raised. Exports are banned. Large buyers are forced to cancel purchases and the like. This has many ‘benefits’. The poor people are condemned to remain poor. (Are not the poor only are supposed to promote the Socialistic Cause?) Industrialists are milked to give donations and the media persons are rewarded for being progressive.

I need Sex at least once a week but my wife says no......
http://loveguru.blog.co.in/ I got a note from one of my clients, gravely describing his woes. It went like this:
“I am a Mining Engineer and I turned 55 this year. A bit of bulky build may have made me look much older than I really am. My problem is that I fail to contain my sexual drive. Also, because I don’t see any reason for doing so. I need sex at least once in a week. But my wife is not cooperating.
I have studied much about the fallacies of people in general about how sex is a huge waste of energy. And how it may drive an “over-indulgent” person to insanity and the like. While I could not help smiling at such suggestions, my wife will offer to give away her right hand to anyone who may convince me to abstain from sex.
Grown up children
The problem is aggravated by the fact that we have grown-up children living with us. I do behave properly around them and respect the sense of privacy that my wife demands so vehemently. But even in the total privacy of our bedroom on the first floor, my wife simply blushes and expresses disagreement whenever I suggest sex. Mostly she tries to remind me of the fact of our grown-up children.
Last year also, I visited a consultant who tried to clarify me that being a diabetic, my wife will only have a declining libido. She can hardly helped about it. That was like a fuel-in-fire information.
Since I have some mining business away from the city, I have to travel a lot. I also have workable residential facilities there. It raises my temptations to stray and build sexual relations. But I know that would be disastrous. Even if my wife is lenient about flicks and one-night-stands, I fail to bring myself down to such levels.
Infidelity
Last week, I had a stormy night of sex with the wife of one of my site managers. She came to cook the dinner for me and the inevitable happened. She is also middle-aged and would like to continue the affair. But I believe, such a relationship will only help destroy the sense of discipline in my staff and the sense of self-image within myself. Please advise!”
So one may see that a simple looking problem has started assuming dangerous proportions. Obviously, he is an educated and well informed person and has decent upbringing. It appears he has no intension of cheating on his wife. But all the same he is heating. Unfortunately, he has not many options. His wife will continue to be a diabetic and the mind set-up of any person, let alone her, does not change so easily. Particularly at such a mature age.
Diabetes does reduce the libido, but this could never be a valid reason for the gentleman to build extra-marital relationships. As he also realizes, such relations only complicate lives further.
Caution please
Some recent studies have given evidences that willing people even in their seventies are enjoying sex more than once in a week and are deriving many health benefits too. The wife involved in this case must be explained that her resistance to sex on account of grown up children only, also does not hold much water.
Sex at a mature age reduces the risks of many cardiac problems. Since it uplifts the mood, it also helps you fight the curses of hypertension. But those people already suffering these ailments, need caution and seeking a sound medical advice is recomended.

There Never is a Too Much of Sex
http://loveguru.blogspot.com/Shekhar, at his 46 years of age is considered to be one of the most productive employees in his office. He rarely works long hours. Switches off his mobile on the Sundays and never misses his yearly long-leaves to his favorite destinations. The secret, as he puts it, is a healthy sex life, among other things.
"If you are happy and composed your productivity automatically multiplies." He says, "working late hours doesn't necessarily mean you are doing more. May be you are taking more time only to do the same amount of work. Only a person who regularily exercises and eats properly can be happy and composed. I hardly ever go to a gym. I find sex is the best exercise, particularly at the early hours in the morning."
Got from my Physio
He was not a person like this from the very begining. During his years at the college he believed, like many of his class-mates, that sex drains the enrgies. Therefore, he harboured many anxyties as he was about to marry. And just then he met with a road accident and was forced into bed for about four months. Now, take from Shekhar himself what happened afterwards:-
I was referred to a physio-therapist. I had no choice but to stay in his company and do as he asked him to. One fine morning, I asked him what sort of exercises he did, as he had a fine physique. The physio simply smiled. I eat properly and exercise in the bed. I could not understand then what he meant.
By the time therapy neared to an end, we had become good friends. He used to tell me many of his experiences and one sex simply comfounded me at first.
Finest harmones
He asked me to ponder why "just married" couples often appear to having gained weight. They present radiating personalities and often have the happiest phase in their lives. It was worth noting, he pointed out that freshly married persons had nothing but sex on their mind. Ask any honest couple and he will tell you they had as much sex as was possile then. And never felt "drained out" as it generally is said to be.
A good session of sex releases all the required kinds of hormones. A passionate session is also a good workout session. Three or four times in a week must be the minimum. It was his final advice.
"Until you are married, masturbate daily. You will recover fast." That's what he said at the end of our final session.
Hard to swallow
Shekhar says the ideas of the physio was hard to digest. I was brought up in an environment where sex was taboo and was discussed only with a sense of derision. But then he recalled how often he mastubated, even before there was a physio to say so. He also noted in his mind how most of his friends did the same. But every one tried not to say anything on record.
The physio had said: 99 potent persons out of a 100 mastubate. And the one is a liar.
When I was married I discussed the matter with my wife. She was aghast in disbelief first. She had similar upbringing. But as I was still recuperating, she promised to cooperate. As the first few months went, the results were there for all to see.
The Honeymoon continues
Ofcourse, out of modesty, I didn't tell anyone how I was having sex everyday, often twice and even thrice a day. We have not changed our ways. The Honeymoon continues.
